The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer has released an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 01/2026-27 dated 22 May 2026) for filling up 121 posts of School Lecturer (Special Education) under the Secondary Education Department, Rajasthan, through the Madhyamik Shiksha Seva Niyam 2021.
A total of 121 vacancies have been announced for the post of School Lecturer (Special Education). These posts are distributed across categories: UR – 46, OBC – 25, SC – 19, ST – 14, EWS – 11, and MBC – 06.
The notification was released on 22 May 2026. Online applications start from 01 June 2026 and the last date to apply is 30 June 2026. The exam date will be notified separately on the official RPSC website at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 40 years, calculated as on 01 January 2027. Eligible candidates must be born between 02 January 1987 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Women candidates as per Rajasthan Government rules.
Candidates must hold a Post Graduate (Master's) degree in a relevant subject such as English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sociology, or Music from a UGC-recognized university, along with B.Ed. (Special Education) from an RCI-recognized institution, or B.Ed. with a two-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Yes, RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is compulsory. Candidates must have a valid permanent or provisional RCI registration before the date of the recruitment examination. They are also required to provide their valid RCI registration number in the online application form.
The application fee is ₹600/- for General / OBC (Creamy Layer) / Other State candidates. Candidates belonging to BC / EBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC / ST / PwBD / EWS categories are required to pay ₹400/-. Fee payment is to be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or through the Rajasthan E-Mitra Portal. The fee is non-refundable.
The selection process consists of a Competitive Written Examination comprising two objective MCQ-type papers: Paper I (General Studies & Educational Psychology – 150 marks) and Paper II (Subject Knowledge & Special Education – 300 marks), totalling 450 marks with negative marking. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo a Medical Examination followed by Document Verification.
Selected candidates will be placed at Pay Matrix Level L-12 with a Grade Pay of ₹4,800/- as per Rajasthan Government pay rules. The approximate in-hand salary (including DA, HRA, and other allowances) is estimated in the range of ₹62,000/- to ₹70,000/- per month, along with additional government benefits such as Medical Facilities and Pension.
Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official RPSC portal at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. First, complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSO Rajasthan Portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in using your Aadhaar/Jan Aadhaar details. Then log in, fill the application form, upload required documents (PG degree, B.Ed. Special, RCI certificate, etc.), pay the applicable fee online, and submit the form before 30 June 2026. Save or print the final submitted application for future reference.
